Biography
George S. Patton (1885–1945) was an American general who became known during World War II as a brilliant military leader, specializing in tank warfare, but also notorious for his strict discipline and temperament. He led successful operations in North Africa and Europe, including the liberation of France with the U.S. Third Army. He died after the war from complications in a car accident.
