Biography
Adolf Galland was a German Luftwaffe fighter ace and commander. A veteran of the Condor Legion, he led JG 26 in the Battle of Britain and in November 1941 was appointed **Inspector of Fighters** (General der Jagdflieger). He flew **705 combat missions** and was credited with **104 aerial victories**, all against Western Allied aircraft. In 1945 he returned to frontline flying to form and command **JV 44**, operating the Me 262 jet. After the war he served as an adviser to the **Argentine Air Force** and later worked as an aviation consultant in West Germany.
